Anti-Bullying Program

ANTI-BULLYING PROJECT FOR CHILDREN:
Children participate in workshops that teach them how to stand up for themselves to prevent bullying by becoming the characters in a book, Be A Superhero By Saying No To Bullying. The book is personalized with photos taken of participating children in superhero costumes. The children also write poems and learn songs sung to familiar tunes with anti-bullying messages.

ANTI-BULLYING PROJECT FOR TEENS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE JARMAL HARRIS PROJECT:
High school youth participate in an anti-bullying program that fuses fashion, stage production and writing. In fashion design workshops, youth learn how to creatively apply anti-bullying messages on tee shirts/jeans/sweat pants and clothing other items. In stage production workshops, they learn every aspect of how to produce a fashion show that will showcase these designs. They also participate in workshops on how to stand up to bullies and how not to become a bullycide victim. They write stories or poems about bullying incidents. These stories/poems are published in a book.
